Insurance
I am an out-of-network provider and do not directly bill insurance for treatment. Some benefits of paying privately include more privacy and more control in our work together. However, many insurance companies will cover my services as an out-of-network provider. If you have a PPO, I can provide a “super bill” that you could submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. A super bill is a detailed record of payment with special codes for what kind of service was provided along with my license number. I recommend calling your insurance to find out what reimbursement will look like for an out-of-network provider, as reimbursement is not always guaranteed. If you’re hoping to find an in-network provider, Psychology Today is a helpful directory.
I’d recommend asking these questions to your insurance provider to help determine your benefits:
- Does my health insurance plan include mental health benefits?
- Do I have a deductible? If so, what is it and have I met it yet?
- Does my plan limit how many sessions per calendar year I can have? If so, what is the limit?
- Do I need written approval from my primary care physician in order for services to be covered?
Payment
Payment is accepted through the client portal. Prior to your first session, you will be prompted to enter payment information. This information will be saved to your secure client file and will be charged automatically at the conclusion of each session. Accepted forms of payment include credit and debit card.
Cancellation Policy
If you are unable to attend a session, please make sure you cancel at least 24 hours beforehand. Otherwise, you will be charged a $75 fee for late cancelation and the full rate of the session for failure to cancel/no-show.
